ABOUT ME:
This is Dipak Chandra Das, also known as Dipu Das. Currently, I am working as a Research Assistant at the Public Health Foundation, Bangladesh. I have over three years of experience in public health research, along with a strong background in data analysis and manuscript writing. My expertise includes data collection, data cleaning, data visualization, statistical analysis and manuscript writing at an intermediate to advanced level.
Academically, I completed a Master of Social Science (MSS) degree in Sociology and Anthropology with a CGPA 3.93 out of 4.00 and I also earned a Bachelor of Social Science (BSS) degree in Sociology with a CGPA 3.78 out of 4.00. Although my academic background is in sociology, I have developed a strong research interest in the fields of Public Health and Medical Sociology. Particularly in research areas such as – medical sociology, sociology of health and illness, social determinants of health, mental health and the application of artificial intelligence in healthcare.
I recognized two personal limitations: I may not work very quickly. However, I have strong patience and dedication, which help me complete my responsibilities within deadlines. Another limitation is overthinking. I tend to think too deeply any situations, which sometimes makes it difficult for me to make decisions quickly and efficiently. I believe that, with the right opportunities in the future, I can achieve significant success in my academic and professional career. I am currently seeking admission to a PhD program in Sociology. My long-term aspiration is to become a professional researcher and contribute to academia as a faculty member in the discipline.

MY RESEARCH:
My research interests are rooted in Medical Sociology, Sociology of Health and Illness, Social Determinants of Health and the Application of Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare. I am interested in exploring in detail how social, economic and cultural factors influence health, illness and access to healthcare services. I focus on how factors such as socioeconomic status, education, gender, race and community contribute to health inequalities.
I use both qualitative and quantitative methodological approaches in my social and public health research to better understand health disparities, strengthen social research evidence and promote health equity. My goal is to contribute to the healthcare system and support social justice in health.
I also have a strong research interest in mental health and psychological well-being. My research focuses on understanding how social, cultural and digital environments influence mental health outcomes, including stress, anxiety, depression, social stigma and emotional well-being. My other research interest is Aging and Gerontology. I study the social, psychological and health-related challenges faced by older adults. I also study how social factors, healthcare systems and new technologies affect aging and quality of life.
Additionally, I am exploring the application of Artificial Intelligence in healthcare with special emphasis on its sociological implications, ethical considerations, work-life balance and to mitigating health disparities.
